Selection Criteria Ability to implement mental health prevention and promotion activities to improve student wellbeing.
Experience in developing and evaluating strategies for mental health and wellbeing.
Experience in assessing and providing evidence-based support for mental health needs.
Experience in coordinating supports for young people with complex needs.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Role Range 3 positions include management responsibility for professional support services, impacting beyond the immediate work area.
The role requires cooperation with staff and adherence to school policies, with some latitude in achieving objectives.
Management of staff is a key responsibility, with timely reporting to senior management.
This position requires a mandatory qualification of not less than four years.
Responsibilities Provide counselling and therapeutic interventions.
Be a visible presence in classrooms and the yard.
Assist new students in transitioning smoothly.
Contribute to relevant staff and wellbeing meetings.
Work with families to create and reassess support plans.
Support the Disability and Inclusion Program.
Promote student wellbeing through various communication channels.
Collaborate with community service agencies.
Liaise with staff, including the Leadership Team.
Maintain accurate and confidential records.
Conduct risk assessments and create safety plans.
Develop and deliver mental health promotion initiatives.
Engage in case management with stakeholders.
Lead evidence-based programs for student resilience.
Perform other duties as directed by the Leadership Team.
