About the role Team Global Express is seeking a Legal Counsel - Sales & Consumer to provide pivotal support to our dynamic Sales and Consumer teams. You will assist the Sales and Consumer team achieve their goals by providing legal advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on competition, consumer law, and privacy. You will also be provided with opportunities to develop and expand your expertise across diverse legal areas, including procurement, operations, property, corporate law, technology, and workplace safety, supported by a collaborative legal team. What you'll do Deliver timely and accurate legal advice on contracts, consumer law, privacy and more. Review and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with governance processes. Stay updated on relevant legislation and assist in developing key governance and legal compliance programs for the Customer & Consumer Teams. Identify and mitigate legal risks in sales and consumer functions. Advise on the management of customer claims and legal disputes. What you'll bring Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) or Juris Doctor (J. D.). Minimum 5 years of legal practice, with at least 3 years in top or mid-tier firms. Experience in contract negotiation and competition and consumer law compliance. Strong legal acumen, contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management expertise. Exceptional communication, adaptability, and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
