Council's Works & Infrastructure Branch is recruiting for the position of Team Leader Bitumen Services.
About the Opportunity Oversee the daily management and supervision of the bitumen sealing team, ensuring resources are available, tasks meet Council's quality and safety standards.
Serve as the liaison between Council and customers for bitumen sealing projects and manage contracts and documentation as part of the Works and Infrastructure Services Unit based at the Red Cliffs Depot.
What you will bring Ideally the successful applicant will have the following: Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification with some experience in the field of civil construction or hold a lesser formal qualification with substantial experience in the field Civil Construction.
An extensive knowledge of all bitumen spray sealing activities and plant operations associated with civil construction works.
Experience in project management and supervising work teams in bitumen spray sealing, road maintenance activities or civil construction areas.
Ability to undertake the estimation of quantities of materials and preparations of costs for plant and labour hours for specific bitumen works.
Hold a current Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence or willingness and ability to obtain within the first six months of employment at own expense.
Hold a Dangerous Goods Vehicle Licence or willingness to obtain.
Hold a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
Hold a current Construction Induction Card accredited by Work Safe Victoria.
Hold a current Spotter Registration Certificate or willingness to obtain.
Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 6 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $93,027 to $101,094 per annum inclusive of maintenance allowance plus statutory superannuation.
