Role Purpose: As a Team Leader Kinship Case Manager, you will:• Lead a team providing case management and support to vulnerable children and their carers.• Oversee the Better Futures and Home Stretch Programs, ensuring smooth transitions for young peoplefrom Kinship Care to independent living.• Collaborate with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to meet kinship care targetsand reduce placements in residential and foster care.• Ensure culturally sensitive support for Aboriginal children, maintaining their cultural identity Employment Conditions: All staff are required to sign a confidentiality agreement on appointment to the organisation Probationary / qualifying periods apply to all new positions All staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct of the Co-operative (available to view) All staff are required to follow the policies and procedures to the department and the Co-operative (manuals are available to view) A commitment to equal opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices is required Salary packaging is available to permanent part time and full-time staff Tenure of positions at Rumbalara will be tied to existing contracted funding arrangements About You To excel in this position, you should possess the following:• Experience in team leadership and strategy development.• Knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.• Strong confidentiality and compliance skills.• Understanding of Aboriginal community and culture, with an emphasis on the health and wellbeing ofyoung Aboriginal people.• Skills in assessment, referral management, and case support practices.• Understanding of child development and factors impacting it, including recognizing signs of cumulativeharm.
