About the role An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Officer to join our Maintenance team at AGL Loy Yang.
The Technical Officer is a highly skilled role working in a multi-disciplined team that requires a high level of interaction with all levels of engineering, maintenance, and operations to achieve the desired outcomes efficiently.
Working in a combined shift work and day work capacity, you will play a key role in the maintenance team; with responsibilities for planning, budgeting, and assisting in the preparation of work scopes, job instructions, and work schedules.
Key Responsibilities Plan and carry out high quality maintenance, modification, and improvement work on power station plant and systems.
Record plant-based information and prepare plant maintenance history records.
Commission, test, and adjust plant and plant systems.
Carry out fault finding to detect and repair system faults on power station plant.
Assist in the development of asset strategies and Whole Of Life (WOL) planning.
Provide support and work with other groups, including contractors on plant-based issues.
About You You will have extensive fault finding, diagnostic, and repair experience across electrical control, monitoring, and protection systems.
You will be a problem solver that thrives in a high-pressure environment.
The role is required to participate in an availability roster.
Experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance and operations within a Power Station or heavy industrial environment is highly regarded.
What you bring to the table A detailed level of power station knowledge and functional understanding of heavy industry plant digital control systems.
Ability to assess plant technical problems, identify options available, and determine the appropriate solution.
A demonstrated and working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
A Certificate of Technology or Advanced (associate) Diploma of Industrial Automation or equivalent.
