Underwriting Agency and Scheme management is a growing area for Suncorp via its Vero Brand.
To support our growth, this role has been created to design the long-term operational environment in Commercial Claims to support these relationships.
The successful candidate will work with the Commercial Claims leadership team and key stakeholders to build governance and operational processes to deliver best in class claims service and support for our Agency and Scheme distribution partners.
What you'll do: Work closely with the Agency and Schemes team and front-line claims teams to design how we onboard and maintain distribution partner relationships, embedding the contractual obligations into claims processes.
Create the operational structure and processes to manage claims and/or oversee the management of claims by distribution partners within Vero claims management delegations of authority, governance and risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Create and embed strong financial controls around imprest account management and bordereaux claims payment processing generally.
Act as the claims relationship management contact for internal stakeholders and onboarded distribution partners.
Ensure quality assurance reviews for outsourced claims management arrangements are conducted in compliance with Suncorp's Quality Audit Governance Standard and contractual obligations with its distribution partners.
What you'll bring: Demonstrated knowledge of claims processes as they relate to Scheme and Agency Binder arrangements, particularly in long tail claim portfolios.
Robust understanding of GICo P, Insurance regulatory environment, and Suncorp's Enterprise Risk Framework.
Relevant experience in commercial claims, risk, or binder management environments.
Ability to deal with complex issues, build relationships at all levels, and negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders (including brokers).
