The Platform Quality Engineering team is a key team in Platform Vertical and the whole Engineering and R&D departments at Five9.
The team is responsible for the delivery of TAAS (testing-as-a-service) solution to different Agile Delivery Teams and Engineering Verticals using manual and semi-automated testing approaches for the classic and classic-cloud company products such as: Virtual Call Center (including different types of voice clients including softphone, Web RTC and VDI) Web Based Freedom and CRM Integration applications Digital Engagement services (including email, chat, SMS, and social interactions) Our ultimate goal is to provide a unified and holistic approach to customer interaction, ensuring a consistent and outstanding experience across all digital touchpoints.
Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to develop and code test infrastructure components in a Cloud / Java / Terraform environment.
This role implements test processes and goals together with development teams, ensuring that test plans are appropriate, including reviewing of plans completed by developers.
In addition, this role assists in the definition and creation of tests and scripts to support customer journey scenarios and load tests for contact center features.
How You Contribute Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple customer services issues and escalations.
Learn and apply your technical knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, and proven processes to consistently deliver great quality product in a predictable manner.
Effectively communicate plans, progress and status both internally and to Customer organizations.
Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships by interacting effectively at all levels of the client organization.
Develop materials in-line with the specific services opportunity and customer onboarding requirements.
Implement, troubleshoot, and support the Inference software solutions in a wide array of configurations remotely.
Train new customers on maximizing the value of the Inference Platform.
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications Required: 1 - 2 years of industry experience in Java / Python development.
Experience working on design, coding and implementation of Cloud Test Platform CI/CD automation, including tools and frameworks necessary to support testing and release builds.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
Desirable: Good knowledge and experience with modern enterprise frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience in implementing scalable, high performing microservices providing REST APIs is a plus.
Experience with any public cloud platform.
Other Requirements This position requires the ability to be On Call.
This role is a hybrid position, requiring both in-office and remote work.
