About the Role The Change & Communications Lead drives strategic change management and communications for HR-related projects and ongoing capability development, reporting to the Associate Director, Policy, Change & Communication within the Employment Compliance Directorate (ECD).
In this role, you will design and implement change strategies, lead stakeholder engagement and targeted communications, and oversee the Change and Communications teams.
Working collaboratively across teams, you'll ensure cohesive and consistent change initiatives that align compliance goals with workforce development, supporting the University's overall change agenda.
You will be a key connector between the ECD and the University's Organisational Development function, facilitating alignment between employment compliance objectives and workforce capability development.
Your responsibilities will include: Assessing HR project start-up documentation to recommend suitable change management approaches and resources.
Leading the design, development, and implementation of change initiatives, supporting HR projects and ongoing capability uplift.
Supervising and supporting the change management team, ensuring the quality of all change management and communications artefacts.
Offering strategic advice to leaders on engaging stakeholders, developing communication plans, and monitoring benefits to drive positive adoption of HR changes.
Who we are looking for You will have a proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, effectively influencing and negotiating with a broad audience.
With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you'll excel in conveying information clearly to stakeholders and have experience utilising diverse communication channels, including digital platforms, workshop facilitation, and creative collateral development.
You will also have: Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, with extensive experience in change management and communications within complex organisations, or equivalent education/training.
Strong expertise in Change Management and Project Management methodologies, specifically their application to people-related processes.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing change management teams to ensure effective delivery of change initiatives.
Extensive experience in assessing change readiness and evaluating the success of change initiatives.
Comprehensive experience in leveraging a range of communication channels including digital, workshop facilitation and the development of creative collateral.
