Role: This is a two year fixed term SES 1 position.
The Ticketing Operations Director is a crucial role within the Ticketing Operations team, managing a key part of the organisation within the Operations function.
This team oversees the newly formed operations team and the myki system, while also supporting the necessary Operational Readiness activities to deliver the State's future public transport ticketing solution and services.
The team works closely with the Operations Readiness Manager to support upcoming programs of work and is responsible for operational acceptance during the implementation phases of the solution.
Reporting to: the Operations and Readiness Lead, the Ticketing Operations Director will lead a multidisciplinary team to manage all aspects of governance and operations related to the myki system.
This includes overseeing functional streams across Service Delivery, Technology & Systems, Equipment Management, Operational Variations and Products & Retail.
The role requires close collaboration with the greater Future Public Transport Ticketing division and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of the new solution and onboarding of new capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in advising senior stakeholders and leading high-functioning multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex government ticketing technology programs, preferably in a public transport or ticketing setting.
This experience is essential for effectively managing the multifaceted operations and ensuring the successful implementation and operationalisation of the future public transport ticketing system.
Qualifications and Role Specific Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification in technology management, business management or related discipline is highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience working on major technology projects in public and/or private sectors, preferably in the ticketing sector.
