Transport Company Manager - Melbourne City OUR COMPANY With 15 busy locations, East Coast Car Rentals is one of Australia's leading independent car rental companies. As the Transport Company Manager of two Melbourne locations (A'Beckett Street/Grand Hyatt) you will be vital to the leadership and success of the company. Reporting to both the National & Regional Operations managers, you will ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly, along with maintaining a high standard of presentation, within a customer-focused environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Some of your duties will include: Manage all branch operations and personnel, ensuring efficient operation on a day-to-day basis, in accordance with the ECCR objectives. Improve productivity and streamline branch activities to maximise results and achieve peak performance levels. Draft forecasts and business plans as required. Develop and implement revenue plans to meet branch sales targets. Brief employees on plans and sales targets, promotions, and other relevant information. Manage local budgets, allocate branch funds appropriately and work within company financial restraints, whilst conforming to company procedures and processes e.g., purchase orders, reconciliations, daily drawer balances. Address customer issues/complaints as required. Coordinate with other ECCR branches to share knowledge, plan promotional activities and/or achieve goals. Ensure the vehicle fleet is maintained to a high standard, adhering to maintenance schedules to ensure no more than 5% of the branch fleet is on maintenance at any given time. Complete physical inventory reports daily for both fleet vehicles and other assets – baby seats, GPS units etc. OTHER DUTIES Attend regular Manager meetings – via digital platforms or in person. Attend any training required, including annual management conference. Ensure that branch operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations for the industry within your state/territory. Assess local market conditions and identify business opportunities. ABOUT YOU Our ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work outside of core business hours if required. We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate education and experience in the following areas: Minimum 2 Years experience in the Rental Car Industry, preferably in a management role. Proven experience in Leadership and Management. Excellent analytical and reporting skills. Growth Mindset - eager to learn, and open to change. Strong written and oral communication skills.
