THE ROLE
The Associate, Travel & Expense is responsible for processing expense submissions and ensuring compliance with company policies. They will support the team by delivering accurate and timely assignments and contributing to overall team results.
Review employee expense reports for reasonableness and consistency with firm policy, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Collaborate with team members to address workflow volume challenges and provide suggestions for rebalancing
Identify and report unusual trends or nonstandard items requiring policy clarification or additional approvals
Perform recurring audit steps as required by department procedures and controls, providing excellent customer service
Assist with troubleshooting system issues, and responding to inquiries from approvers
Demonstrated functional knowledge of Travel & Expense principles and practices
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
Collaborative mindset to contribute to team goals and deliver quality results
Requirements:
2-4+Associate's/Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
Experience in Travel & Expense or a related financial role within an organization
Proficiency in processing invoices, payments, and financial transactions
Familiarity with relevant software and tools (Outlook, Microsoft suite, MS Teams, Zoom)
Ability to apply accounting principles and practices to ensure accuracy and compliance
Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
