We strongly believe the success of the business has been because of the people we have. We are currently seeking a full-time Accountant to join our expanding team located in Melbourne. Key responsibilities include: Preparation of financial statements for management, board of directors, shareholders and government bodies. Creating forecast models based on current and past financial reports. Preparation of budget and accounting policies. Preparation of tax returns for both individuals and organisations. Review and enhance accounting systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices. Analysis of financial and operational results to support growth opportunities and business performance. Conduct investigations in relation to company financials, undertake audits and prepare reports for management. Provide financial advice in relation to purchase and sales of business, capital financing, mergers, fraud, tax and insolvency matters. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Assessing internal controls, reviewing risk areas and making recommendations for computer-based accounting systems. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, maintaining impeccable records and documentation. Cash flow management and oversight. Any other tasks as requested to support the business and management team to ensure financial success and growth. Ability to grow and develop About you: Your experience in financial process and control is essential. You have a good understanding of accounting standards and have experience working within a commercial environment with broad accounting expertise. You are a self-starter; you have excellent written and verbal communication skills with at least 3 years of experience and a minimum of a relevant bachelor's degree.
