About the Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced Accent Group Finance Team as an Accountant for our Property team . This is a full-time permanent role based at our State-of-the-Art Support Office in Cremorne, Victoria. You will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the occupancy financial result of the entire Accent Group business. Your key responsibilities will include: Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the main duties of the role include (but are not limited to): Perform analysis of Occupancy expenditure and provide commentaries for variances between actual and budget, addressing enquiries from both internal and external sources. Provide assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports. Discuss and resolve any accounting issues with GM Property and Finance team. Month end Cycle – prepare and post journals, reviewing Balance sheet reconciliations with focus on Occupancy. Perform analysis and process improvement on Occupancy specific areas. Integrity of Accounting Data in Lease Eagle system. Support wider finance system development projects. Calculations for capped rent deals, percentage rents, and abatements. Review and investigate invoices which require approval – in line with the terms of the lease agreements. Manage creditor account reconciliations. Invoicing Fit Out Contributions to Landlords in line with terms of lease. Responsible for reconciliation of AR and AP Ageing reports and distribution to Stakeholders. Preparation of Certified Annual Sales Certificates for Landlords. Monthly Sales Reporting to Landlords. Maintaining internal control systems including approval of New Supplier setups. Preparation of annual Occupancy Budget. Ad hoc accounting tasks and reporting. To be successful you will ideally have the following: Bachelor qualified in Business accounting or finance. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Exceptional organizational and priority setting skills to work in a fast-paced environment. Highly dynamic and adaptable work ethic. Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a "hands-on approach". High-level analytical skills, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
