Community Accessability Inc is a values-based, not-for-profit organization that provides a vast array of services that support individuals with a disability and frail aged people to participate fully in their communities, be functional at home and live their best life.
Our services are delivered throughout rural Victoria, southern NSW and Metropolitan Melbourne and are rapidly expanding.
Overview of Responsibilities Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will be: Preparation and sending of customer invoices for NDIS and Age Care & Transport in compliance with the billing cycles.
Processing of receipts in a timely manner.
Taking accounts calls from clients to process payments and any billing issues.
Performing daily banking reconciliations to match and post customer payments to their accounts.
Handling customer invoicing inquiries regarding billing issues.
Maintaining and managing the accounts receivables ledger.
Submitting fortnightly reports to the manager on accounts receivables.
Engage Finance Manager over any AR problems you encounter.
Initiate the tracking and following up on overdue customer accounts.
Work closely with the Accountant on some tasks such as preparing manual NDIS claims etc.
Work with other departments within the organisation to ensure that all financial transactions are carried out effectively and efficiently.
To be considered for this role: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
At least 2+ years experience in AR can substitute for educational requirement.
Strong organisational, time management and planning skills.
Experience with customer service and client communication.
Ability to create and edit excel spreadsheets.
Proficient in use of accounting software (preferable XERO) and computing skills including high level of competency in Excel spreadsheets.
High level communication with interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with a variety of key stakeholders.
