THE ROLE
The Adviser, Diversity and Inclusion will support the Senior Advisors with the delivery of the Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2022 – 2027 to promote and foster an inclusive workplace culture and to strengthen inclusion and employment outcomes for diverse employees across the department. You will provide advice, information and support to management, staff and stakeholders in line with relevant departmental policies and project guidelines.
The role will be part of the Aboriginal and Diversity Inclusion team and will work with all levels across Corporate and Delivery Services and be the first point of contact for our employees, candidates and hiring managers who are looking to recruit a diverse workforce that represents the communities that we serve.
Accountabilities Include:
Provide support to the Senior Advisors delivering initiatives under the Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2022-2027 (DIF) and establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
Provide advice, information and support to managers, staff, and stakeholders in relation to diversity initiatives and in line with departmental policies and program guidelines and in consultation with the Diversity and Inclusion Manager and Senior Advisors.
Assist with the conduction of the annual workforce diversity survey and undertake comparison analysis to monitor and evaluate the diversity targets. Undertake the learning administrator role by uploading training as requested by Senior Advisors and troubleshooting registration problems. Follow up requests received via the ADI Inbox, manage calendar invitations and cancellations and forward requests to the relevant Senior Advisors.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances. As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
