$91,702 - $104,753 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Bendigo - VIC The Role As an APS 6 Geospatial Analyst, you will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of a range of duties, including: Leading a technical team, allocating work, resources and tasks, setting priorities and developing strategies to achieve business outcomes.
Coordinating the production and delivery of geospatial data, products and services and adhering to quality systems, standards and legislative requirements.
Advising on complex geospatial analysis and production issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
Leading and conducting complex geospatial analysis and/or production supporting national and Defence interests.
Leading the design, implementation and maintenance of data models, workflows, and processes supporting business operations.
Building and sustaining effective relationships with local, national and international stakeholders on matters of strategic national and Defence interest.
Facilitating appropriate direction for the team by clearly communicating goals and objectives and how they link to strategic direction.
Actively mentoring less experienced staff.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

About our Team Foundation Geospatial Branch (FGB) is responsible for the production, acquisition, management and distribution of Foundation Geospatial Data to support Defence and national security interests.
Foundation Geospatial data is data, products and services created to a specific standard, adding significant value to activities with respect to their location and environment.
This includes maps, charts, imagery, elevation and feature data that is essential in Defence's capability and high-level decision making.

Our Ideal Candidate Foundation Geospatial Branch is looking for candidates who: Have a passion for geospatial data and its application.
Have experience leading small technical teams.
Are experienced using Geospatial Information Systems such as the Esri Arc GIS Suite or SOCET GXP.
Collaborate across the organization to achieve goals.
Foster a positive, inclusive and innovative team culture.
Support flexible, collaborative and creative thinking to deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Possess strong technical skills and are willing to act as a resource for others.
