Full Time Position You will join a high performing team of leaders across the country that facilitates the readiness of the agency and the proper conduct of the election, upholding the Electoral Integrity Framework.
You will be based out of our Victorian State Office in the Melbourne CBD but manage and support a diverse and geographically dispersed network, working closely with our National Office and the other States and Territories.
Our leaders are committed to learning and self-development, and are responsible for building the technical capability and fostering the career development of their employees.
They value collaboration and working together to ensure delivery of seamless electoral services.
The Opportunity We are looking for a strong leader who is agile, self-motivated, and results-driven to manage state election planning, delivery, and evaluation.
You will be responsible for focusing strategically on the agency objectives to facilitate the adoption of best practice across the broader leadership network, while also leading your team in project management and election delivery across multiple state office delivery plans to enhance both business as usual and election planning activities.
You will contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives, including setting priorities for the work area, maintaining team cohesion, and ensuring quality of outputs for the work area.
To excel you'll have: A resilient and positive attitude and demonstrated ability to respond quickly to change and achieve objectives with quality outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to facilitating and driving collaboration within a team to achieve positive results and support the AEC's strategic direction.
Proven leadership, people and project management skills, preferably during major logistical events, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work under own direction while taking responsibility for actions, projects and people and make quick, clear decisions considering risks.
Ability to adhere to key timelines, principles and values, always demonstrating integrity in upholding ethics and values to support the AEC's strategic direction and best practices.
Ability to rapidly learn new tasks and demonstrate understanding of newly presented information encouraging and role modelling an organisational learning approach.
Ability to consistently deliver results and achieve project goals, working in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way while monitoring and maintaining high quality standards.
The ability to apply event management or specialist and technical expertise and share knowledge with others with a commitment to continual professional development.
AEC employees must be Australian citizens.
