The Role
Due to our expeditious growth, we are seeking an Associate to join our Melbourne Financial Lines team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with complex and high-profile litigation from coverage for directors, officers, professionals, and companies facing complex disputes.
Directors & Officers Liability:
Advising insurers on coverage issues arising from claims against company directors and officers including providing expertise in defending claims arising from insolvency situations.
Professional Indemnity:
Representing insurers in claims against insured professionals across various industries including Financial Services and Commercial Property.
Management Liability:
Handling claims brought under management liability policies.
High-Value Litigation:
Assisting insurers in complex, large-scale disputes, particularly shareholder class actions.
What you'll bring
Admission as a Solicitor in Australia.
1+ years' PQE (or relevant experience) in financial lines or commercial litigation.
Strong understanding of insurance law principles and practice.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
