As the newest member to this dynamic and driven team of dedicated yet friendly industry professionals, you will need to be results-orientated and experiment-driven; capable of achieving desired outcomes that meet operational standards and most importantly align with customer requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to: Working closely with our Head of Cloud to assist in managing the migration of applications and infrastructure to the cloud.
Assist in managing, enhancing and monitoring the environments to ensure maximum value.
Performance Application Monitoring and Reporting.
Engage in disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives, configuration management and platform automation.
Provide ongoing support of hosted applications and infrastructure.
Collaborating with the Development, QA, Security and Product teams Development and Migration You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop cloud-based solutions.
You select the appropriate cloud technologies based on organizational requirements.
You develop automation scripts to streamline processes.
You deploy new applications to the cloud.
You migrate existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.
You ensure seamless migration processes that do not disrupt ongoing operations.
Monitoring and Optimization You monitor the performance of cloud-based systems.
You optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and high availability.
You utilise Azure Monitor or Prometheus for monitoring and alerting You visualize metrics using Grafana.
Identity and Policies You implement and manage access controls, identity management, and authentication mechanisms.
You define and enforce security policies to protect cloud resources.
You collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Networking You implement and manage virtual networks, VPNs, and security groups.
You ensure secure communication between cloud services and on-premises infrastructure.
Automation You automate cloud operations using Azure Dev Ops, Power Shell, or other tools.
You support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
You participate in planning and executing cloud migration projects.
You containerize applications using Docker.
You manage Docker images and containers for efficient deployment and scaling.
Azure You administer of Team City and Octopus Depl e.g.
Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups/Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints Hosting e.g.
Virtual Machines, Containers (AKS, Container Apps, ...) Data Storage e.g.
Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage Accounts Identity Management e.g.
Service Principals, RBAC Security and Compliance e.g.
