Building Masters Inspections is a carefully selected team of senior Building Inspectors offering property Pre-Purchase and Construction Stage Defect reporting services to buyers of new and existing properties to assist them with buying decisions and help protect them from manipulation by the often-misleading antics of Real Estate Agents and volume Builders.
We see our role as helping people to avoid buying a property that they may be able to afford to purchase but may not be able to afford to own.
It is often the case that a property buyer will innocently make a purchase, only to later discover unforeseen defects resulting in huge repair expenses, which should have and could have been exposed by obtaining a Building Defect Report from an experienced Building Inspector.
About the role The Role as a Building Inspector Building Masters' Inspectors have spent their working lives constructing new homes and pulling apart and re-building old ones.
We know what's well-built and we know what parts of an existing building are repairable, or salvageable and what parts should be discarded.
We know intimately what the costs associated with making good to poor workmanship are and the building repairs and renovations required by an older home to turn it into a sustainable investment.
Building Masters Property Defect reporting service offers property buyers information not typically offered by other building inspectors or inspection groups.

Skills and experience Here's What You'll Need: A current or renewable DBU or similar qualification, and/or A number of decades of experience in the domestic building and renovation industry; In-depth knowledge of building regulations and experience identifying building defects; A reliable vehicle, laptop, mobile phone/camera, and a few basic inspection tools; A disciplined on-time work ethic, trustworthy character, and a positive attitude.
