About the role: In this role, you will support the Operations & Commercial Leadership Team by providing financial analysis and insights to drive the Commercial Strategic Agenda.
This role will collaborate with various Bunnings teams, including Operations, Commercial, and Merchandise, to develop business plans aligned with the strategic agenda, track key performance indicators, and support ad-hoc requests.
What's involved: Develop commercial business plans aligned with the strategic plan, detailing return on investment metrics that meet Wesfarmers' investment criteria.
Analyse product and customer profitability, as well as financial data, to identify business strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Work across divisions and cross-functional teams to understand internal processes and factors in the customer journey.
Provide high-quality, timely, and accurate financial, commercial, and statistical information to key stakeholders to ensure they understand performance and future trends.
This includes ad-hoc, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Who we're looking for: Our ideal candidate is data-driven, pragmatic, customer-focused, and skilled at turning complex information into a clear, compelling story.
You will use your strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation, build trust, and understand stakeholder needs.
You'll need: Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced finance or analytics function, preferably in the retail industry.
Tertiary qualification in commerce or business.
CPA / CA qualified or equivalent.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong planning and organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
