Job Description The Opportunity As a Business Analyst in our Transformation team, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of the organisation's key transformation projects.
You will work at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that business requirements are thoroughly understood, documented, and translated into actionable plans that align with our strategic objectives.
This role is instrumental in driving process optimisation and ensuring that the organisation's transformation efforts meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
What you'll do Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify, document, and prioritise business requirements for transformation initiatives.
Create and maintain a repository of business requirements, ensuring alignment with the organisation's Capability Framework.
Identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven recommendations to improve the clarity and effectiveness of business requirements.
Facilitate workshops and work closely with stakeholders to ensure their needs are captured and reflected in the project deliverables.
Partner with project teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with requirements.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying innovative methodologies for business analysis and requirement gathering.
Assist in developing and delivering training programs to ensure stakeholders are equipped to adopt new systems or processes.
Desired Skills and Experience What you'll bring: As a Business Analyst, you will bring a strong foundation in business analysis, a keen ability to gather and document requirements, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems.
Your communication skills and proficiency in translating technical information into clear business terms will be critical in ensuring the successful execution of transformation initiatives.
You will also contribute your expertise in analytical tools and methodologies to drive effective solutions.
Genuine interest in social justice and the not-for-profit sector.
Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a not-for-profit or transformation environment (Social and Affordable Housing sector is a bonus).
At least three years of experience in business requirement gathering and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Certification in Business Analysis (IIBA preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
Proficiency with data analysis tools, process mapping, and business case development.
Experience using project management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) and the MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
A proactive, continuous improvement mindset, with flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
