Global Meats, a subsidiary of Superior Food Group, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our finance team in Reservoir.
Role Overview The Business Analyst will report to the General Manager and play a critical role in shaping the company's future growth and strategic direction.
The role is responsible for the delivery of Global Meats objectives aligned to business priorities across the functional areas of Finance, Administration, Sales, and Costings.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in analysing costs associated with production, projects, labour, and departments to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Ensure all costs are identified and recorded accurately.
Analyse and investigate variances between actual costs and budgeted/standard costs to understand the reasons behind the differences.
Assist in preparing financial reports, including cost reports, variance analysis reports, and other management reports related to cost analysis.
Assist in the evaluation of business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning.
Support the development of business cases for new initiatives and projects.
Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
Participate in project management activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Profile Degree qualified in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in food processing or related fields is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business analysis role or similar.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Proficient in data analysis tools and software, including Excel and other MS Office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and project management methodologies is a plus.
