Cabinet Maker/Joinery Designer/Technical Detailer/Project Controller Interior Co Vic Pty t/s Zenith Interiors – Sandringham VIC An exciting new opportunity exists at a leading commercial furniture manufacturing and supply company for a Cabinet Maker/Joinery Designer/Technical Detailer/Project Controller Team Member.
Zenith Interiors are recruiting for a multi-skilled, highly motivated Cabinet Maker/Joinery Designer/Technical Detailer/Project Controller team member.
The role is a dynamic and multi-faceted position where you will perform a diverse range of tasks to support the Customer Service Team.
The role involves estimation of cost, drafting shop drawings using software tools and material selection.
You will also liaise with clients, suppliers, interior designers and architects regarding any planning enquiries, meeting requests or general questions.
The successful applicant will aid the Customer Service Team in project completion and assist with the management of project control.
The position is a permanent full-time role, based at Zenith Interiors' Sandringham Manufacturing facility.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES The key accountability of the Cabinet Maker/Joinery Designer/Technical Detailer/Project Controller role is to provide support to the Customer Service Team, assisting with estimation of cost, drafting shop drawings and material selection for ongoing works with customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and craft high-quality cabinetry for residential and corporate spaces, ensuring each piece meets specific client requirements and style preferences.
Select and install appropriate hardware, including drawer slides, hinges, handles, and locks, to optimize both functionality and aesthetics.
Utilize advanced joinery techniques, such as dovetailing, mortise and tenon, and biscuit joints, to create strong and durable constructions.
Manage all phases of cabinetry projects, from initial cost estimation and material selection to drafting detailed shop drawings, assembly, and final installation.
Use software tools like Microvellum, Woodwop and Cutrite for precise drafting, design, and optimization of CNC programs, enhancing production efficiency.
Employ precision craftsmanship techniques in cutting, sanding, finishing, and assembling cabinets, maintaining high quality throughout the process.
Plan and execute large-scale joinery projects, effectively coordinating scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality materials, ensuring that all project specifications and timelines are met consistently.
Proactively resolve onsite issues, ensuring smooth project execution and high levels of client satisfaction throughout the cabinetry lifecycle.
Incorporate sustainable materials and eco-friendly practices in cabinet design and production, aligning with modern environmental standards.
SKILLS REQUIRED Outstanding customer service skills.
Good communication skills with the ability to easily build rapport with a wide demographic of people.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities.
A solutions-focused, problem solver mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with attention to Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Microvellum and Pronto preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role is a must.
