About the Role: Our client is a leading global provider of aviation, marine and land energy, logistics, and technology solutions to customers and suppliers around the world. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Capture Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the capture leadership of assigned opportunities in support of the growth strategy and pursuit of long-term strategic investments. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in business development and capture management. Previous experiences across business development and capture within the Defence Industry in Australia is essential. Experience and knowledge of strategic global trends across the Asia, Pacific and UK/US regions are highly desired. This role requires flexibility for travel to support diverse customer engagements, including strategy events and workshops. Travel is estimated to be up to 25% annually. Key Responsibilities: Create and implement plans and tools that effectively guide and support strategic investments. This includes framing feasible and sustainable opportunities, conceptualizing a winning vision, and providing clear facts, analysis, and decision-making artifacts. Establish detailed knowledge bases that ensure accurate and informed understanding of customer requirements, challenges, and needs. This involves conducting thorough assumptions, facts, and gap analyses, as well as managing associated RFI efforts. Empower corporate and core teams to strategize on winning themes aligned with the customer's critical needs. Lead coordination for targeted meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and team members to gather insights on requirements, timing, and investment models. Plan, participate in, and, where applicable, lead capture activities, including opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration workshops, and proposal reviews. Provide input for the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal-related documents. Consistently advocate for and apply best practice approaches and processes. Be prepared to deliver briefings and updates to senior management, both formally and informally. Assist in other business development tasks as needed, including after-action reviews, document control, and administrative support. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Demonstrated experience in capture management within logistics, modernization, sustainment, and engineering across multiple domains (land, sea, and air) within the Defence and Government sectors, across various acquisition sizes. Eligibility to obtain a Defence security clearance. Strong familiarity with stakeholder management. Proven analytical abilities to address and resolve complex issues. Ability to manage diverse tasks and tailor efforts to meet essential deadlines. Strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality issues.
