Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club Location: Position: Full-Time CEOThe Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club is one of Australia's largest junior sporting clubs, with around 5,000 active players. We operate as both an overarching association and a domestic club within the EDJBA, providing a pathway from grassroots to elite levels. The club supports players from age three through adult community competitions while providing an elite pathway for players, coaches, administrators, technical officials, and game night staff looking to advance their careers in basketball. We also co-host the Eltham-Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament, the largest annual junior tournament in the world, held every January. Role Overview As CEO, you will lead our strategic direction, manage daily operations, and foster relationships within the basketball community and beyond. You'll oversee a team of 11 staff and numerous volunteers, ensuring smooth operations across our three local stadiums. Key Responsibilities: Oversee recruitment and management of staff and volunteers, including 4 full-time employees and 11 roles reporting directly to you. Manage 192 trained referees, 393 coaches, 570 teams and a large introductory program (over 250 participants). Manage relationships under Joint Use Agreements with Eltham High School and Montmorency Secondary College. Collaborate with the Executive and General Committee, operational sub-committees, and various departments. Represent Eltham Basketball with local, state, and federal governments, sponsors, and partner organizations. Manage the recruitment of coaches and ensure compliance with league requirements for our two Elite Senior teams in the NBL1 South Competition (current men's champions) and our two Big V Youth League teams, which recently competed in the highest division. Manage operational aspects of the Eltham-Dandenong Junior Tournament including communications, refereeing, grading, and venue logistics.
