Position – Chef Mehek Foods PTY LTD t/a Sale Curry House 90 Raymond St Sale Victoria 3850 Salary $70,000 - $80,000 Sale Curry House is a popular Indian restaurant, known for our unique blend of flavours, we offer a diverse menu, serving authentic Indian cuisine. We are looking for qualified and experienced Chef for our restaurant.
Job description Developing menu items and collaborating with the manager to manage costs and expenses.Preparing, cooking, and presenting food and ensuring the dishes are of the highest quality and are cooked according to set menusCreating and managing menus, and developing new dishes and recipesSupervising kitchen personnel and coordinating efforts to fulfill restaurant needs.Conducting inventory checks in the kitchen and placing supply orders as needed.Estimating restaurant expenses encompassing food, labor, and miscellaneous items.Providing guidance and training to junior staff when necessary.Overseeing food preparation to maintain consistently high standards.Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and updating policies regularly as needed.Qualification and experience:
· Must have Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
· Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
· Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have proper working rights in Australia
