Job Description In this Permanent Part time (0.8) role, based in Pelaco Building (Richmond), you will work with the Clinical Outcome and Analytics team and medical leaders to define, collate and analyse information about patient care.
You will provide robust and insightful information to support discussion in audit, morbidity & mortality and peer review settings with the goal of improving clinical care at Epworth.
Initially focused on the Neuroscience, Urology and Gynaecology specialties, the role provides the opportunity to expand to other specialties.
Your other tasks may also include database management and customer service around information management.
You will be part of the Clinical Outcome and Analytics team and report to the Clinical Analyst.
You will make an impact by: Use clinical knowledge to undertake medical record review of cases identified for audit.
Adhere to good research practice including principles of confidentiality, privacy and information handling.
Identifying variability in treatment amongst individuals and studying its causes and consequences.
Identifying factors that predict treatment outcomes.
Undertake quality assurance of data, validating data accuracy and ensuring completeness.

You will have: Current APRHA Registration.
Qualified RN/EN with a minimum of 3 years working experience in acute hospital setting.
Demonstrable experience in previous research, or experience navigating medical records.
Sound background knowledge in acute medical and surgical care including theatre procedures and related terminology.
Demonstrated level of computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level reports.
