Part time (0.6 FTE), fixed term until August 2026 Opportunity to work as a Clinical Trial Coordinator for the Pre Babe Trial at the Charles Perkins Centre Base Salary from $99,455 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity An exciting opportunity exists to join a successful research group in the University of Sydney's Charles Perkins Centre, a world-class research and education precinct that is addressing the global epidemic of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease – the leading causes of mortality in Australia.
Professor Adrienne Gordon is seeking a Clinical Trial Coordinator to join her team for the Pre Babe Trial.
This is a world-first clinical trial assessing whether pre-pregnancy weight loss can improve pregnancy and baby outcomes.
The Clinical Trial Coordinator supports the clinical trial process, ensuring a seamless transition through all stages.
They handle data capture, verification, and overall adherence to standards while fostering relationships with research staff and stakeholders.
They ensure Good Clinical Practice and that every aspect of the trial meets the highest ethical and scientific standards.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Support the end-to-end clinical trial process, assisting with the execution of trials, and ensuring smooth operations to completion.
Support data capture and verification for clinical trials, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Follow ethics guidelines and workplace health and safety regulations, preparing materials for committee submissions.
Take the lead in handling stakeholder communications, ensuring that concerns are addressed effectively and timely while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within the work area and beyond.
Facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives.
Undertake other duties and projects appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Experience in clinical trial management.
Knowledge of ICH guidelines and good clinical practice.
Experience in supporting clinical trials.
Experience in working in a research-intensive environment.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
