About the Role We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel with 4-6 years of experience.
This is a role that offers variety and a true business partnering opportunity across all our business units in Australia and NZ, key Fujitsu stakeholders, and our Fujitsu Clients.
You will be involved with building strong internal and external client relationships.
Reporting into our Head of Legal, NZ, you will have the opportunity to grow and become a respected member of the wider Fujitsu Oceania Legal Team.
There is flexibility for the role to be based in either Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, or Canberra.
Your responsibilities will include: Commercial structures and negotiating new business, providing advice on customer terms and conditions, and guiding Fujitsu stakeholders to ensure the best commercial outcome.
Drafting and reviewing contractual terms and contracts.
Assisting in the resolution of commercial and employment-related disputes/claims.
Providing responsive and balanced legal advice, identifying and advising on potential and actual legal risks and exposures, and recommending appropriate actions to minimise risk.
About you To succeed in this role, you will have: A degree in law, with at least 4-6 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience working with Information Technology contracts, including deal structures, contract review of terms and conditions, and negotiation of IT contracts is preferable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with personal credibility.
Self-starter, capable of working independently but willing to ask questions and seek guidance when required.
A current practising certificate for a relevant jurisdiction or the ability to obtain one.
