About this Position The Commercial Manager supports the delivery of our integrity goal of our Strategy 2023+, leading a team delivering legal, procurement and contract management services and plays a key role in providing advice and improving commercial performance at Beyond Blue, delivering pragmatic, value for money outcomes for the community.
The key duties of the role include: Manage commercial functions including legal, procurement and contract management services Implement business improvement initiatives to ensure processes are efficient and effective including the contract management system Protect the commercial interests of the organisation and the community we serve through sound commercial management practices Assess commercial components of new initiatives and business cases Review and authorise major tender submissions and significant supplier contracts Help drive a greater level of commercial and financial literacy through the business Optimise the value from the outsourced legal function and ensure a commercial approach to triaging of activity and managing risk to the business About you To be successful in the role you would have: Bachelor (Degree) of Accountancy or Commerce/Business Demonstrated experience in a similar role and track record in enabling positive business outcomes.
Key essential skills Significant experience in a senior commercial role with people management responsibility Strong commercial acumen, proven ability to provide sound, concise and reliable strategic commercial advice Pragmatic and customer focused approach, excellent interpersonal skills High level of flexibility; and the ability to work with ambiguity and complexity Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, finance and legal professionals Strong strategic and analytical skills, capable of taking a whole of enterprise view Exposure to accounting, procurement and purchasing disciplines and practices Knowledge of privacy laws and implementation of contemporary privacy management processes Understanding of government regulations and reporting requirements Demonstrated initiative to identify and action process improvements to deliver business efficiency Ability to manage projects, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure Culture & Values Our values are the unseen drivers of our behaviours and ultimately become the organisational culture.
