Job Description CGC Recruitment have partnered with a key client who are a Tier 1 Contractor focusing on the delivery of major Transport, Resources, Defence, and Building Projects.
They are at the forefront of the Construction boom across Australia and have been awarded a major Defence Base Upgrade project as a Managing Contractor.
They have identified an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join the business on a full-time basis.
On a day-to-day basis, your role will focus on sub-contract management, contract management, and commercial management.
Within these three areas, you will assess claims, negotiate variations, report forecasts, assess tenders, prepare cost plans, and assist with estimating and auditing.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing head contract variations and scope changes Analyzing and quantifying delay and variation claims Head contract progress claim preparation, submission, and liaison with Client Assessing Subcontractors' progress claims and variations submissions Preparing complex Extension of Time claims and assessment of similar type claims Preparing Project Reports The role is a full-time position in Townsville, and due to the current skill shortage in QLD, we are actively running recruitment campaigns for Commercial professionals in Southern States to work on one of the largest Defence Base Upgrades in the Southern Hemisphere.
