Commercial Underwriter - Heavy Motor, Plant & Equipment Paragon have been exclusively retained by a company that is not only one of the country's leading Underwriting Agencies, but also a leading "Employer of Choice" that offers extensive and useful benefits to staff.
Due to business growth, this is a newly created role, to join the Construction Underwriting team in Melbourne, with a focus on Plant & Machinery risks.
About the role The key focus of the role will be Underwriting and Relationship Management.
You will be a broker facing Underwriter, ideally coming from a Plant & Equipment or Heavy Motor background.
Oversee, run, maintain, underwrite and develop an existing portfolio of risks.
New Business Development.
Educate brokers on product updates/changes.
Providing training so brokers can fully understand the products being delivered to their clients.
Work closely with Internal National Managers on product analysis and enhancing the offering.
About you 2-3 years Underwriting experience.
A genuine passion for building your reputation within the Insurance Market.
A desire to have a career, not just a job.
The enjoyment of being someone who is externally engaging with the market and not just a desktop underwriter.
