About headspace: headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

Leave loading at 17.5% Stride Rewards – access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food and fitness) One paid wellbeing leave day per year Purchase up to 5 additional leave days in a 12-month period (pro rata entitlement if part-time) Paid parental leave support Supportive team environment Excellent training and career development Role Overview: The Community Engagement Coordinator/Social Inclusion Coordinator (dual role) seeks opportunities to reach out to young people and the communities that support them, to provide health education, raise mental health literacy and community awareness and link people to appropriate services.
You will develop, facilitate and evaluate a range of community events, and health and education programs designed to improve mental health literacy and community awareness of challenges faced by young people, in order to increase early identification and help them to get early access to appropriate services.
You will work closely with our clinical team to understand the services that headspace provides, to advocate our services to both young people and the wider community.
You must be able to work some flexible hours for Youth Reference Group and events.
Requirements: Minimum of a Diploma qualification in youth work, mental health or other relevant discipline Experience in a similar role working with young people Experience in planning, developing and delivering of high-quality education, training, and community awareness programs and activities Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with and engage a variety of different people and stakeholders Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team Excellent organisation and time management skills Confidence in use of IT including social media applications (e.g.
Facebook), as well as website maintenance Excellent verbal communication and written skills, including the ability to identify potential funding sources and write the appropriate grant submissions Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance Current Driver's License Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for all positions and is in accordance with Stride policy.
