Job Description As our Construction Safety Advisor you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the safety management system for construction projects.
In this role, you'll also be responsible for undertaking desktop and on-site safety audits and driving safe work practices within our construction projects.
Develop and maintain construction safety management system procedures and guidance material.
Review and critique external partner project-specific safety management plans and client requirements.
Participate in High Risk workshops with the project management team.
Undertake routine onsite construction inspections to ensure safety issues are appropriately identified, assessed and risks are mitigated.
Complete site inspection reports, including findings and following up on the implementation of corrective actions.
Manage reporting processes for customer projects as well as internal reporting.
Qualifications A passion for the construction industry and creating safe workplaces.
10+ years construction site-based experience and 5+ years in a safety-focused role.
Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong interpersonal skills including consultation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
