The Role Reporting into the Head of Corporate Relations and Communications, the Consultant, Corporate Relations role is a newly created role within the team.
As part of the Corporate Relations team, you will be responsible for delivering on our enterprise strategy for corporate relations through monitoring the media and public policy environment and preparation of media, public policy, industry affairs and other materials.
You will support the team to implement a cohesive and consistent external corporate voice and media, public policy, government, industry and stakeholder relations strategy that is aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
The role can be based either in our North Sydney office or our Docklands office in Melbourne.
About you An experienced Corporate Affairs/Relations Consultant, you possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate affairs, public policy, media and external communications, government relations, or industry affairs roles, in a highly regulated industry or environment in Australia.
You are kept informed and maintain an up-to-date understanding of issues likely to impact the reputational, commercial, operational, and strategic success of MLC Life Insurance and how they can be managed, influenced or addressed to achieve the enterprise strategy for corporate relations.
Lastly, you possess a strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills that will enable you to create briefing notes, presentations, media materials, speeches and digital content.
