South West Healthcare offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and psychiatric services. We are the major acute referral site for the South West Region, serving over 110,000 residents and providing 282 beds along with a wide array of primary and community services.
About the role
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented Consultant Geriatrician who can provide high-quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit South West Healthcare patients and our regional community.
Working within our existing inpatient services, Cognitive Dementia and Memory clinic (CDAMS), Specialist Falls and Balance clinic, and GEM@home program, there is also an opportunity for the successful applicant to develop further Geriatric outpatient clinics.
The position is a full-time permanent position.
What you bring
You will have a recognised postgraduate qualification in Geriatric Medicine and hold a current Registration Certificate as required by the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia. The ability and drive to contribute to service development is an important component of the role. A commitment or interest in research and education would be desirable.
