About the Opportunity Reporting to the Head of User Experience, the Content Design Lead will harness the power of words to craft transparent, conversational, and delightful product experiences that help members accomplish their goals whilst empathising with their experience.
As the Content Design Lead, you will partner with our internal stakeholders to understand their content needs and our members' content needs.
Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing: Drive content strategies that assist with planning, creating and maintaining content.
Develop information architectures based on robust user research and understanding of business goals.
Collaborate with other creatives to plan and develop digital content, style and layout.
Provide content leadership for internal teams through strategy, recommendations and production of content deliverables.
Establish and promote content strategy guidelines, best practices and standards within RACV and externally.
Participate in product workshops including creating new business pitches and extending existing client relationships.
Create and maintain documentation to scale brand voice and style guidelines.
Defining product vision and narratives across multiple platforms and touch points.
Researching the vocabulary and mental models people use to achieve their goals.
Clarifying the purpose of every element in an experience.
Focusing on the context of what is relevant and eliminating "noise".
Creating the least amount of content and UI for an experience to make sense.
Validating that messages meet the standards of legal and compliance.
Ability with writing starts with inclusivity and accessibility, with the desire to build products/features that have a meaningful impact in people lives.
Iterating on language and processes based on data and qualitative insights.
Deliver workshops for, and work with, diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Challenge the status quo.
Seek to improve design and digital experience and value to our customers and members by removing roadblocks, making suggestions and managing through change.
Who we're looking for and what you'll bring Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything.
You'll come with: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years in a similar Content Writing position.
Experience on user-focused product writing including work in hardware, software, digital agency, or other relevant product area.
Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.
Experience leading a team of multiple practitioners.
Project Management certification highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience supporting the build and delivery of Digital Product within a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience working experience of the key roles and resources supporting the development of Digital Products including Product Development Lifecycle, Customer Experience and User Experience, Research and Design, Journey Mapping, etc.
Experience working with web and mobile development products including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics Manager, Salesforce Communities desired.
