Library Services & Information Management (Education & Training) Government - Local (Government & Defence) Band 8 – $119,380 - $133,491 + superannuation Role includes a monthly RDO Hobsons Bay City Council's Community Learning and Service Centres Department was established to oversee the ongoing development of contemporary customer focused libraries, community hubs and service centres and meet the changing needs of the Hobsons Bay community.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced leader to work as part of the Department's senior leadership team, be an ambassador for service development and transformation, champion integrated community servicing (Council+) and deliver on Council's Centres of Excellence Strategy.
Reporting to the Manager Community Learning and Service Centres, the successful candidate will lead the strategic development and implementation of customer focused, innovative, and effective community, library and lifelong learning programs and services.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategy and operations of Hobsons Bay Libraries' collections, technology, and digital project areas.
You will have considerable experience in the management of physical, digital and heritage collections and a proven record of your ability to manage projects, people, budgets and resources.
The successful candidate will bring appropriate tertiary qualifications in librarianship; and demonstrated leadership experience in collections, creative technologies and/or digital services.
A proven ability to problem solve; be creative; innovative and flexible; and drive positive change will be critical to success in this position.
