About the role Situated between Melbourne CBD, Geelong and Ballarat with an easy 45-minute commute against the traffic and a growing community of over 40,000 people that is forecast to grow to 65,693 by 2041.

This is a senior position within the Growth & Development Unit where you will manage and coordinate the development of strategic land use planning projects, policies and plans to enable the implementation of successful planning outcomes for Moorabool Shire, and provide rigorous and timely strategic planning advice to internal and external stakeholders.
As Coordinator Strategic Planning, you will be responsible for staff management, project management (including budget management) and the coordination and development of Council's projects dealing with strategic land use planning issues.

Desired Skills and Experience About you Relevant tertiary qualifications in planning is essential.
You will also have substantial experience in planning, preferably in a municipal or similar environment, together with demonstrated success in project managing strategic planning projects as well as a sound understanding of the Victorian Planning System, relevant legislation and regulations and planning scheme amendment processes.
