Overview of our role Your role will be empowered to collaborate closely with and support the Group Corporate Finance & Capital Planning Manager. Support each other by providing finance strategy and long-term financial planning & analysis for the portfolio, financial modelling, strategic project, and M&A support to the company.In particular, you will own and update the Corporate Model in the yearly P&B process and impairment, build internal project models, and review vendor models for business development opportunities (M&A and greenfield), and assist and advise management on the long-term finance plan and strategy to support the delivery of the business strategy.Furthermore, you will support, assist, and collaborate with the following: Assist in the annual target-setting process for financial budgets; Develop and maintain internal relationships outside of finance with key stakeholders including Shareholders, MDO, Business Development, and Corporate Strategy; Develop and improve analytical and strategic models on key strategic projects and tasks; Advise management, Commercial Finance in implementing analytical tools and systems to improve understanding of key business and financial drivers and metrics; Provide technical accounting input into financial modelling and analytical support to the business. This will be your opportunity to partner and collaborate with other Corporate Finance team members, driving and improving relationships and processes with regards to the Group's long-term financial management.A little about you Creative solutions to unusual problems and exceptional teamwork abilities; Ability in financial analysis and corporate finance concepts; Identification and articulation of key business drivers and KPI measures; High-level conceptual, analytical, and interpretive skills; Ability to write clearly and concisely on complex finance issues in a manner that is understandable to management and the Board; Must possess effective planning and scheduling skills and willingness to learn, develop self and others; Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to view issues at a high level and in detail. Qualifications / Certifications & Skills Degree-level qualifications in accounting or commerce are essential. Member of CFA, CPA, CA Australia, or working towards. Master-level Excel modelling skill (VBA included). At least 6 years of professional experience in finance. Knowledge of the energy sector/utilities is preferable. High degree of interpersonal skills and demonstrable relationship development and management track record.
