The Microsoft Detection and Response Team (DART) is hiring for a Cybersecurity Incident Response Engineer, Director.
This position will be a vital leader and manager of the global Cybersecurity Incident Response team, leading the DART team in customer investigations, activities and capability development with the support of Microsoft Partners.
This is a global position.
The role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home; however, short notice travel to work onsite alongside customers will likely be 40% or higher as is demanded by the needs of our customers and business.
This position may require you to work a rotational On-Call schedule, evenings, weekends or holiday shifts.
Though schedule changes are not frequent, you will need to have flexibility to accommodate changes as needed.

Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years' experience in software industry experience related to technology.
5+ years customer facing experience.
5+ years people management experience.
Additional or preferred experience /qualifications History of successfully managing a technical business group and maintaining consistent growth.
Recognized as a strategic leader who can hire, retain, and motivate diverse quality talent.
Experience leading both a services organization and product development function.
Develop business strategy and provide technical thought leadership.
Manage customer engagements escalations to ensure customer satisfaction.
Understanding of security technology and implementation principles with a focus on the cyber threat landscape.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape related to security and privacy in an international environment.
Executive presence, ability to influence senior IT and Global Risk leaders, CISO, CTO, CIOs.
Experience leading a global cross-functional team.
Experience with opportunity identification, customer advocacy, conflict resolution, competitor intelligence, challenger mindset, business acumen and analysis, executive presence, strategic technical planning, technology industry knowledge, trusted technical advisor.
Experience with some of the following is a distinct advantage.
Demonstrated history of leading teams of Security threat hunting analysts, engineers, and consultants to successfully investigate cases of advanced targeted exploitation or similar interactive hacking cases.
Experience in helping enterprises manage vulnerabilities, measure security and ensure compliance.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in various security disciplines with a deep understanding of real-world APT tools, tactics, and procedures.
Cloud Saa S and Paa S experience and an understanding of investigations in those environments and leveraging cloud for investigation scale.
Solid grasp of common cyber frameworks and models such as the MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, Pyramid of Pain, De TT&CT and modern penetration testing techniques.
Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities: People Management: Lead and empower teams by modelling company values, coaching for success, and investing in team growth.
This includes defining team objectives, enabling success across boundaries, and helping the team adapt and learn.
Technical Leadership: Develop guidelines for issue identification and resolution, provide strategic guidance, and drive large-scale product improvements.
This involves utilizing engineering tools, customer telemetry, and direct customer input to identify and flag defects or issues, ensuring all customers and partners are aligned and informed about active issues, and contributing to or investigating and troubleshooting complex issues using diagnostics.
Customer Solution Management: Ensure customer environments are optimized and configured for deployment, guide teams on understanding and implementing new versions, software updates, and releases of platforms, and manage escalations on customer issues.
This includes conducting health checks, providing guidance on new deployments, and developing strategies to conduct feature reviews and develop guidance for customers.
Relationship Management: Align Microsoft's offerings with customer business objectives, prioritize customer issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
This involves cultivating the image of Microsoft as a valued business partner, engaging with feature and product groups on redesigns or customer-requested changes, and ensuring teams partner with other teams to prioritize and drive customer issues.
