Work options: Hybrid As an experienced Data Architect, you play a crucial role in complex financial services institutions (FSIs) by developing database solutions, analyzing structural requirements, and designing data models.
Responsibilities Data Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs.
Design end-to-end data architectures that align with organizational goals.
Consider scalability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Define data entities, relationships, and attributes.
Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
Database Management: Install and configure database management systems (DBMS).
Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.
Implement backup and recovery strategies.
Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources (market data feeds, transactional systems, CRM databases, etc.).
Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data ingestion.
Security and Compliance: Implement access controls, encryption, and data masking.
Ensure compliance with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and industry standards.
Cloud and On-Premises Portability: Future-proof data architecture for regulatory changes and operational risks.
Design for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud scenarios.
Consider open data formats, common security models, and portable application development.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) designing data architectures for complex FSIs.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools, and DBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre SQL).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
