As a Data Engineer in the Logo & Brand domain, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our customer-facing products and internal analytics.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our data systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the needs of the business.
What You Will Do: Design and Build Data Pipelines: Develop scalable and reliable data pipelines using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and Looker to support product and analytics needs.
Transform Raw Data: Implement and maintain dbt models to transform raw data into clean, insightful datasets that are ready for analysis.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, analysts and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Beyond collaboration, actively advocate for best practices in data engineering across the domain, mentoring others to improve their skills in working with data and fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
Monitor and Troubleshoot: Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met for data pipelines post-deployment, following the "You build it, you run it" engineering principle.
This includes continuously monitoring the entire pipeline to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues, while maintaining a high standard of data quality, reliability, and performance throughout the ingestion, transformation, and loading stages.
Data Validation and Testing: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance through rigorous validation and testing.
Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Continuously stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in data engineering.
Document Workflows and Processes: Create detailed documentation of data workflows, processes, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure proper data governance.
Data Visualization: Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Looker to support decision-making with actionable insights.
Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of data pipelines and queries to enhance efficiency and ensure timely data delivery.
Data Security and Compliance: Ensure all data is processed securely and complies with relevant regulations and best practices.
Leverage Mentorship: Collaborate with and learn from senior data engineers to continuously grow your skills and overcome technical challenges.
Your Qualifications: Proficiency in SQL and experience in building ETL pipelines using dbt or similar frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar technologies such as Big Query, Databricks, or Redshift, as well as with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting and optimizing data pipelines.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across time zones, engaging effectively through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous communication to maintain meaningful discussions and ensure smooth collaboration with team members.
