8 + 12 month contract - October Start $800 - $1000 per day (inc-Super) ACT, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide Obtain your Baseline Security Clearance Our client, a Commonwealth Government organisation whose focus is to provide support to Australians living with disability, is seeking the experience of a Delivery Manager (SAFe - Data Lakes) for a long 8 + 12 month contract based in ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC or SA.
Duties of the Delivery Manager (SAFe - Data Lakes) Facilitating multiple scrum teams in an agile project environment.
Managing project scope and timeline via sprint and release planning in line with wider organisational commitments.
Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous sprint and daily scrum stand-ups.
Supporting the product owners to develop and manage product backlogs, new requests, and remove barriers.
Guiding design teams to higher scrum maturity.
Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
Managing the governance, stage gates, and reporting of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
Skills and Experience Required At least 3+ years' experience facilitating the delivery of complex projects using Agile methodologies.
A strong understanding of the SAFe methodology and its application within a large and complex Program, preferably within a government context.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure all user stories are prepared for the sprints.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve outcomes.
Experience effectively managing competing priorities and strategic directions, with an ability to remain calm under pressure and respond flexibly to change and uncertainty.
Proficiency in using various IT applications and project management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
Tertiary qualifications or industry-recognised certification in Management, Project Management, or a similar field (desired).
Demonstrated work experience managing/delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs/projects in an Australian Government setting (desired).
Experience managing projects involving large data lake solutions (desired).
