Let's talk about the roles and responsibilities:
As a Delivery Manager - Telecom, you will be responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of telecommunications projects within Capgemini Engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of the telecom industry, exceptional project management skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of telecom projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
Oversee project planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and budget control.
Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in telecom delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and other key parties.
Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and client expectations effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in project or delivery management, with a strong focus on the telecommunications industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex telecom projects on time and within budget.
In-depth knowledge of telecom technologies, infrastructure, and industry trends.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Experience with financial management, including budget forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
