About Us:
ARCA is working on behalf of a rapidly growing engineering scale-up based in Wiltshire seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their dynamic team of 4 planners.
Role Overview:
As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of their supply chain. You will be responsible for accurately forecasting customer demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimise their supply chain processes. Your insights and analytical skills will be vital in driving data-driven decisions that support their growth objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for our products, incorporating historical data, market trends, and sales input.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and ensure alignment between demand forecasts and business objectives.
Monitor and analyse inventory levels, adjusting forecasts and safety stock parameters to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
Manage demand planning processes to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of materials and finished goods.
Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules (Occasional travel required)
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years+ proven experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Chain Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
