About the Role As Deputy Principal, you should collaborate closely with the leadership team to provide educational leadership, drive innovation, and implement our 2024 - 2026 Strategic Plan.
Your responsibilities will include: Educational Leadership: Promote the school's vision and values while enhancing student outcomes across all campuses.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively on initiatives like Social Emotional Learning (SEL), School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE), and Positive Behaviour Support, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
Focus on Wellbeing: Bring a keen interest in student wellbeing and social-emotional education to your role.
Pathways: Develop innovative pathways to support secondary student transition and build year 12 completion and graduation opportunities.

Pre-requisite for Remote Teaching Due to our remote location and the possible need for gravel driving, all staff will need to complete a 4 WD training course (preferably prior to coming to Laverton) – paid for by the school.
In addition, under the School Education Act Employees' (Teachers and Administrators) General Agreement 2021 all employees new to the Remote Teaching Service are required to participate in a structured induction program offered by the Department of Education at the beginning of each year.
