About the role This position is primarily based at the University Hospital Geelong site, working as part of the surgical stream under the direction of the Senior Clinician stream leader.
The primary workload will be inpatient management in upper gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and colorectal surgery.
Your workload allocation may vary according to operational needs across the department.
As the successful applicant, you will act as a high-functioning member of the Nutrition & Dietetics Department at University Hospital Geelong, providing evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services to consumers and carers to help achieve an optimal level of health via: Provision of comprehensive, co-ordinated, and integrated multidisciplinary services.
Provision of consumer–centred care.
Contribution to the development and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective dietetics services.
Contribution to meeting relevant performance indicators (KPI's).
This role will primarily be located at University Hospital Geelong but may include roles at other Barwon Health locations depending on service delivery need, including, but not limited to, The Mc Kellar Centre or Barwon Health Community Health Centres.
The role will also require flexibility in availability to support service delivery initiatives, including a service on weekends and some public holidays.
