The Role Tandem Partners is excited to partner with Victoria Police in recruiting a key role within the HR People Services Division.
The Director, HR People Services, reports to the Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Command and leads a diverse team inclusive of Payroll Services, HR Information Systems, Workforce Reporting and HR Advisory.
This is a pivotal role that involves: Leading the HR Services function with a key focus on payroll delivery/compliance.
Leading and developing a large team as they work on crucial projects, technology advancements, and the ongoing evolution of HR Services.
Collaborating closely with HR Leadership team peers and other department leads to shape and execute strategies that enhance the delivery of HR Services that enable employees to focus on their important and critical work.
About You To be successful in this role you will bring: Extensive experience in the leadership of Payroll, HR Systems, HR data and HR Advisory functions in large scale, complex operating environments.
A high degree of people management ability, with previous experience managing large teams in the successful delivery of key HR services.
The ability to collaborate with key stakeholders within other departments to determine technical and technology improvements required to better HR Service delivery.
Exposure to systems that may include SAP and Oracle.
A willingness to drive new ideas yet respect the need for consistency at scale.
A sharp eye for detail and experience in ensuring attention to governance and regulatory requirements.
Additional Requirements/Benefits The successful candidate will be required to undergo and successfully complete a National Security Clearance to the level required, in addition to pre-employment checks as outlined in the position description.
